Some children start to refuse strollers as early as 2 years old and insist on walking on their own, but many 5-year-olds still enjoy riding. A full size stroller is just one of the many types of strollers available. While these compact strollers are often less expensive than full-size strollers and their size makes them easier to handle, they often sacrifice features such as a large canopy, ample storage space, tilt options, and smooth suspension and handling. When it comes to choosing the right stroller for everyday use, there are bound to be some compromises. In our testing, none of the strollers had everything we wanted, namely quick folding, ample storage space, comfortable handlebars, good handling, comfortable seat belt buckles, easy to clean fabrics, comfortable suspension and the perfect seat for toddlers.
Think carefully about your priorities. Do you fold and lift your stroller regularly? Will you fill it with food? Will you ride it mostly on slippery surfaces, or will you risk riding it on mud, gravel and grass? These questions can help you navigate your purchases and make sure you get everything you need without spending more than you need. Keep in mind that depending on your situation, a pushchair may not be your preferred mode of transportation for babies. Baby carriers, carriers, and carriers are convenient for younger children, while camping baby carriers and child bike seats that attach to adult bikes are great for long rides with older kids and toddlers.
